The Bushwick records warehouse is located at Kent Ave and N 10th St, Brooklyn, NY.

It was flanked by a dismal, empty parking lot on the right and a soccer field on the left.... It was a gray, blocky, windowless structure with stripes of blue running along the walls, a mural of the East River painted on the front. Benjamin walked down an alley between the soccer field and the warehouse. Kids played and shouted on the other side of a chain-link fence.... The warehouse was dark, but he could make out row upon row of towering shelves stretching on in either direction. There was a row of switches next to the door. Benjamin flipped them all. Overhead fluorescent lights flickered on, their faint buzz filling the silence. The shelves, reaching up to the warehouse’s high ceiling, were filled with cardboard boxes. Several wooden pallets and stacks of crates were piled next to a small forklift on his left.

Behind the Scenes

The warehouse was based on a Citistorage records facility in Bushwick Inlet next to a soccer field in Bushwick Inlet Park. An adjacent facility burned in January 2015 and was finally bought by NYC for Bushwick Park in November 2016.

Since A Rogue Game takes place 5 years before it was written, Google Street View was used to see what the warehouse and the surrounding area looked like back in 2016.
